Mobile Games I love: Dead Trigger

Back in the day, one of my favourite mobile gaming devices was an Apple iPod Touch. I owned a 4th generation model with the classic metal back. Beautiful. I was hooked on the Apple App Store and loved discovering new and exciting games - some of my favourite games back then were Dungeon Hunter 2, The Simpsons: Tapped Out and Dead Trigger.

I had gaming portables before - a Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance - but they weren't anything like the iPod Touch. I was amazed at how far technology had come in such a relatively short space of time.

Dead Trigger was one of those games that opened my eyes to the future. It was unlike anything I had seen before: a fully functioning FPS that you can put in your pocket and play anywhere you like. The story wasn't anything special but it had some great weapons (my favourite was the Colt M4 which could tear through waves of zombies brilliantly), lots of action and short, bite sized levels.

The great thing about the game, despite it being released in 2012, is that it still holds up graphically today and is still a blast to play. While there are lots of other FPS games competing for your attention today such as Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG Lite, Dead Trigger is still a fun little experience. And, because of its age, it can run nicely on older hardware. I've run the Android version on a Fire 7 tablet perfectly, for instance.
